Storyboards

Agree on the shots before your agent animates anything. A storyboard is a row of still panels, and you review it the same way as a video.

Ask for one

Ask in your own words:

Storyboard a 20-second launch video for our app in six panels and open it in Frame Jam for review.

Your agent makes the panel images, then calls open_review with one of these instead of a video:

  • panelsDir: a folder of images, shown in file-name order. Name them 01.png, 02.png and so on.
  • panels: a list of image paths, or objects with a title and a caption for each shot. Relative paths are read from panelsDir.
[ { "path": "01-logo.png", "title": "Logo reveal", "caption": "Logo draws on, 1.5s" }, { "path": "02-problem.png", "title": "The problem", "caption": "VO: Feedback in chat gets lost" } ]

Panels can be png, jpg, webp, gif or svg.

Review it

  • The board shows every panel. Click one to open it.
  • Click inside an open panel to mark a spot, or just type for the whole panel.
  • Type with no panel open to comment on the whole storyboard.

Comments say which panel they belong to, such as Panel 3 · Logo reveal, instead of a time. Press Finish review as usual.

The next version

Your agent updates the images and calls add_version. If it rewrote the files in the same folder, it can call add_version with no media at all, and Frame Jam reads the folder again. Earlier versions keep their own copies of the images, so you can still compare them.

Once the storyboard is right, ask your agent to build the video. That's a new review, with the same review page.
