Label Collage

Label-maker tape, a hand-cut coral star and grainy night-sky paper, slapped together by hand.

16:9Medium pace8stactiletenderplayful

Tactile scrapbook style for journaling, notes and memory products. Warm cream paper alternates with speckled, halftoned indigo night-sky paper; dark navy Dymo tape strips with embossed monospace text slap on one by one and scatter; a big rough-cut coral asterisk spins; a sketched jar fills with tape; a coral hand-drawn ellipse circles a quote; words ride a wave or radiate on spokes; a few dots join into a constellation.

Four scenes of ~2s: build-up of slapped labels, a night scene with jar + wave + circled quote, a radiating spokes scene, a cream end card. Something lands every 0.1–0.3s while a scene builds.

Transitions and text

  • hard cut between cream paper and indigo night paper
  • labels scatter outward and fade (0.42s power2.in) right before a cut
  • the asterisk scales up and fades as the scene leaves
  • tape slap: scale 1.4 → 1 with back.out(2.2) in 0.3s, 0.1s apart, each tape pre-rotated ±2–8°
  • wavy line: per-character sine offset (±38px, ±12°) driven by a tweened phase
  • spoke labels pop at the ends of radiating lines that draw out from the centre
  • coral ellipse draws around a quote with stroke-dashoffset 1 → 0

Style guide your agent follows

  1. Two papers only: cream #ece3cd and indigo night #34497f with feTurbulence clouds, sparse white specks and a halftone dot gradient on the lower half. Hard-cut between them; keep a full-frame multiply grain (~0.7) on top of everything.
  2. Labels are Dymo tape: #263a6c strip, Space Mono 700 in #e8ebf1 with an embossed text-shadow, slightly torn clip-path corners, a 5px halftone drop shadow offset 7/8px, and a fixed rotation between −8° and 8°. Never straight, never more than one line.
  3. Tapes slap in with scale 1.4 → 1, back.out(2.2), 0.3s, 0.1s apart; before a cut they scatter outward from centre with power2.in and fade.
  4. One hero shape per scene: a rough-cut coral #e5735b 12-arm asterisk (round-capped strokes + feDisplacementMap roughening) that spins slowly with ease "none"; reuse it small as a recurring motif.
  5. Coral marks are hand-drawn: an overshooting ellipse around a quote, a label box on the jar; draw them with stroke-dashoffset in ~0.5s power2.inOut.
  6. On night paper set lowercase Space Mono 400 sentences on a sine wave or as radiating spoke labels; add a 5–7 dot constellation with a Caveat date caption.
  7. End on cream: big asterisk + the wordmark on a 140px tape + one sub-tape + a coral Caveat URL. Keep copy small, human and specific ("found €5 in my coat").
